Here's a quick pic of Samuel Chase on stage at the ICA last night. Wearing the crystalized and encrusted neck piece I made for him this week. Hopefully some more detailed pictures soon!
Performance Artist Owen G Parry did a test run of a new set of Gaga armor I have been making today for me in our garden. It had such a beautiful sparkle in the sunlight and Owen was impressed with how HOT it made him look I just had to share it with you!
As I complete a new set of Gaga armor in London it looks like Gaga needed her armor dance troup armored up in Japan. Look she said "I don't wanna be friends!" Go mirror ball team!!
We had the pleasure of working with Bright Light Bright Light last week at the Lexington gig in London, what an exceptional night it was The Fly gave it a 5* rating. And we were really excited to be able to be working on some stage set and lighting, we gave a taste of what is to hopefully be a lot more i the future for Bright Light Bright Light London gigs.
Thanks to Lynne Morris, Gemma Smith for all their help, to Christa Holka for some great live photography and a special thanks to Olivier Ruellet for some amazing visuals, that were not shown to their best due to some technical errors, however we are planning on getting super technical for the next Bright Light Bright Light gig, stay tuned for laser and hollograms gallore!
As we must remain on our Island this weekend due to Volcanic Ash I thought it only right to have a volcanic themed blog entry. And so here is the first, Kylie at her Fever tour in 2002 with 'Burning Up' wearing Volcano dress by Dolce & Gabana. Creative Direction by William Baker & Alan McDonald.
I had a great evening spent with Lu Flux and Jenny Preston at the RVT to see Scott Capurro and Vivienne Westwood in conversation. So fascinating and relevant to our practices, we loved her DIY approach to everything! I'll post up some new pics as soon as i get a little less busy!
"According to the Christian synoptic gospels, on the day Jesus Christ was crucified, darkness covered the land for hours, an event which later came to be referred to as the "crucifixion eclipse". Although medieval writers treated the darkness as a miracle, various Christian historians have associated it with prophecies and other reports of eclipses or periods of darkness. Using this period of darkness as a marker, and interpreting it as a solar eclipse orlunar eclipse, writers have suggested dates for Jesus' crucifixion."
