Sleek Magazine - The Now Code

Here is a new editorial just out for Sleek Magazine I worked with Photographer Thomas Lohr and Stylist Katy Lassen to create a 'sleek' office environment with props of scaffolding and a range of spinning draftsman chairs evoking a sense of 80's power dressing for labour and love.

And very luckily we were loaned this rather elegant graphic wooden chair from Established & Sons (See image 8).

Kraftwerk at Instituto Marangoni

Here are some images from a very successful one day work shop in hand craft for Graphic Design students at Instituto Marangoni I was leading today .

The students were set a brief at 9:30am to create a 3D interpretation of a chosen image of inspiration. This object had to then be completed by 2:30pm leaving them the afternoon to photograph this in the studio and work as a team to achieve the best results.

There was great work created from all the students and hopefully they took a lot from this speedy work shop into how they can work with future projects.

Contemporary Fashion Photographers Book Published

About a year ago I heard from my Photographer friend Timur Celikdag that a shoot we had done for Süddeutsche Zeitung supplement had been chosen as part of a series of Timur's images to be featured in a new book on Contemporary Fashion Photography. Today the book has been released by DAAB publishing.

Paris

I recently spent a week in Paris, where I was showing my book or as the French would say 'ton book' It was a fantastic journey, first stopping off with friends from London and then moving on for a visit with the newly relocated Illustrator Miss Rice, who has been enjoying a very successful move from London to Paris. I was very privileged in being able to preview some of her newly published work as well as having a delightful dinner. With a candy colour palette and sophisticated fashionable line to her illustrations these have a distinct feminine appeal. I'm very interested to see what happens over the forthcoming months as Miss Rice infiltrates the very distinctive world of Parisian Illustration with it's rather boyish style, whatever happens I'm sure she will stand out amongst the crowd.

Also in Paris I was able to meet with Fashion Photographer Nicolas Receveur, where we eagerly discussed future collaborations over coffee. More on Paris to come shortly.
