SHOWstudio - LEO - Backstage images

Back in January I worked with director Jez Tozer and stylist Anna Trevelyan to art direct a series of six fashion films for SHOWstudio. The films inspired by the performanaces by aerialist Leo Hedman and with each fashion look draws on one key menswear designer using specially-commissioned pieces from the likes of Mugler, Walter Van Beirondonck, Nasir Mazhar and VoidofCourse.

REVIEW OF 2010 : ROBERT JONES

My name is Robert Jones and I am currently in my second year at London College of Fashion studying Fashion Illustration. I am interested in the mixture of fashion and music and what it brings season to season.

My illustration style is mixed media stencil graffiti. I also enjoy short film production and photography. I have gained experience in different aspects of the fashion industry such as styling, advertising and graphic design.

After working with Alun on a few projects during 2010, one of the projects that I enjoyed was for a Fashion Film Director Jez Tozer. An exhibition incorporating a party which Jez was putting on to cellebrate the launch of his new film collection 'The Alchemy Series' the theme was based on black and hanging sculptures and garments created an ambience in the room and was a great way to finish the year off and to see the new year in, with the Christmas spirit high and the Guinness flowing together with the smell of burnt wood in the air.

I have been recently working on some forthcoming projects involving some newly designed accessories, here is a picture of some unused accessories however you can see them here modeled by my lovely assistant Kiri Barker and photographed by Jez Tozer.

Studio East Dining - SHOWstudio

Today was spent at the marvelous SHOWstudio with filmmaker Jez Tozer shooting a video short to celebrate the opening of Bistrotheque’s new pop-up restaurant Studio East Dining, thirty-five metres above a construction site in Westfield Stratford City. A selection of Studio East Dining’s menu prepared by Bistrotheque’s head chef, Tom Collin. I was on hand to prepare a simple place setting for Actress Gwendoline to sample these 4 courses and cocktail whilst being captured on film.

'The final Footage of Gwendoline will be juxtaposed with time-lapse recordings of the construction process to create a video celebrating this unique dining event, set to a soundtrack made from noises recorded from the construction site.'
