Ella Dror Press Day AW 12

Yesterday was the Ella Dror AW12 Press Day which I had been enlisted to curate and art direct the space at the Swarovski lounge, with quite an extremely exciting range of designers that Ella looks after it's a great challenge, for this season we wanted to show a theme of growth for all the designers and to celebrate the 1st aniversary since Ella Dror PR had their initial press day at The St Martins Lane Hotel last Easter.  The space was given an artificial garden and flowral area, with Flamingo's adorning the bar area, cake was served all day and Tea from Pure Fresh Tea was served in a range of hand painted cups, There was even a guest appearance from The Easter Bunny in the form of Aaron Frew from D1 models. It was a delightful day and always a please to work with the wonderful Ella Dror and Ashley Smith.

Piers Atkinson & David Morris collaboration launch

My favourite milliner Piers Atkinson’s sent me a lovely Valentines day card this year...  an invite to a Champagne reception on Bond Street to celebrating his new Love collaboration with the jeweller David Morris and on Valentines day too how devine. I however had barely stepped of the plane of a 6 hour flight from New York and was not feeling quite so fabulous. But after being greeted by PR extrodinair's Ella Dror and Ashley Smith of Ella Dror PR, one glass of rose' Champagne and a pink cup cake later I was in a much better mood, I could not think of a better way to celebrate Valentines day!

Piers' Showcased a select few of his new hat pieces from the new A/W 12 collection 'Oh My!' as well as his brand new lookbook debut. The hat pins and diamond heart  dog collar created by David Morris were either worn by models at the event or by Piers himself who even doned a claret trilby with cupid arrow and love heart pin, and when not worn these were all placed carfully back in to the bulletproof glass cabinets for safe keeping.

Well all I can say is for next year I would very much like a hat pin in my goody bag too please!

A little further up Bond Street at Fenwicks was this hat on display in the window from Piers' S/S 12 collection.

Aqua Man Launch Party

Back in July we worked with new Menswear label Aqua Man from Aqua by Aqua to create a new clubbing experience as part of their Aqua Man Launch party. This included several large scale Aqua Logo triangles custom made out of Mars Red plexi and illuminated with neon and strobe lighting. These created focal points within the club space and entrances, in this case the club was Concrete which was chosen in conjunction with Aqua and PR and event organizer Ella Dror. The space was fully illuminated with red lighting to achieve a Berghain clubbing intensity, and their logo was repeated throughout as vinyl transfers and floor markings.

The guestlist que ran around the block but downstairs the party turned out to be an extreme experience and fueled with Redbull and Vodka throughout the night. There was even a late night performance from Feral aka McKinky. We think Aqua should start doing regular club nights all around the country, but until then we will have to just wait until the next launch party.
